Churchill Residence

This unusual design is based around the strict feng shui precepts of a master based in Taiwan: orienting the house along the north south access, centering the layout, determining dates of construction, and carefully arranging and locating the rooms in good energy sectors.

This multi-generational concept is designed for entertaining. Located on a sloped lot, the entry level features a living/dining room with kitchen, a primary suite that opens to an outdoor terrace with infinity edge pool, and a media room with direct access to the hillside courtyard. The second level contains a family room with kitchenette, study, an en suite, two additional bedrooms, a gym, and a three-car garage.

The client wanted a house that was modern and warm, resulting in the use of muted colors and natural materials, such as wood trellises and screens.
