John Lum Architecture is an award winning San Francisco firm that consistently produces high-quality residential and commerical designs. Our projects are playful, and we approach each with an understanding of our clients’ goals. Known for our warm, modernism aesthetic, we create spaces that are meant to be lived in and enjoyed.

Project types include: custom residential, multi-unit, affordable housing, retail, and commercial interiors (and even a mortuary or two)! We enjoy collaboration and embrace new and challenging projects.

Our studio is located in a converted laundry workshop in the heart of the Mission District with easy access to BART and MUNI. Due to Covid, we have adopted a hybrid work format with fully outfitted, company-supplied, at-home workstations in addition to the office location.
