Beard Chu Residence
Basement converted to livable art gallery.

This basement build-out creates a family room, office, guest suite, powder room, and laundry room for this growing family of four. The former uninviting space was opened up with new sliding doors to the rear yard that allow for the family room to be used year round. A separate office with Lumicor sliding doors provides privacy when needed. A long hallway leading to the guest quarters is generously proportioned to double as an art gallery, while the floating staircase hung from a new structural I-beam has a strong sculptural presence for all who enter.
