Affordable housing project in partnership with the Bolinas Community Land Trust (BCLT).

Addressing the desperate need for workforce housing, the Bolinas Community Land Trust (BCLT) embarked on an ambitious plan to build eight units of housing in Downtown Bolinas — six 3-bed / 1-bath units and two 2-bed / 1-bath units, each with outdoor terraces. Wedged between a historic saloon and a single-family home, we placed four units in a three-story front building, with offices for the BCLT at street level, and a separate, three-story back building with four units above parking to reduce the scale.

Designed to blend with the funky character of this notable alternative community, the building is clad in white clapboard and weathered cedar, with the side exterior wall earmarked for an artist mural.

Habitat for Humanity took over the affordable housing project and will be offering these units for sale. Expected groundbreaking is Spring 2025.
