Contemporary Glen Ellen Retreat

Surrounded by vineyards, this scenic country home in Glen Ellen provides a contemporary, timeless retreat for a couple and their two children. On a rural 2 1/2 acre parcel, John Lum Architecture organized two distinct gabled buildings clad in board and batten, reflecting the material of local barn structures. In one wing is a great room with an open kitchen, two small guest rooms and a full bath, and a screened porch, while the other contains family bedrooms. A glass entry way connects the two volumes, while numerous French doors and vivid colors impart a modern twist to a Wine Country house.
