"Construction is the art of making a meaningful whole out of many parts. Buildings are witnesses to the human ability to construct concrete things." - Peter Zumthor

Mike caught the architecture bug early in life. He was first exposed to design techniques and craftsmanship in middle school, during his drafting and wood shop classes. His affinity for drawing and building led him to pursue and complete a degree in architecture.

Mike often marvels at the little details in the built environment, especially the simple but elegant ones. He’s drawn to the use of materials and the fabrication process, and likes how the connections and functionality of a space contribute to the whole design.
