Arenberg Residence

Adding a modest 6′-0″ addition to the rear of this two-bedroom, 1,000-square-foot home, gave enough room to create a great room with open kitchen out of the former undeveloped first floor while still maintaining enough space for one car. ¬†An entire wall of folding doors opens the great room, doubling the living space with a new deck allowing for outdoor entertaining. The former upper-floor living room and kitchen were converted into two additional bedrooms yielding a four- bedroom (one a master suite), two-and-a-half-bath house.

The exterior of the house was re-clad in cedar and cement plaster, with a steel and aluminum sunshade system in the rear giving solar protection from the western sun.
