We have just finished the Friedman/ Oyer house on the Stanford Campus that focuses on natural ventilation and daylighting and was featured on Renovation Nation, and the Kimberg/ Lim house in Noe Valley which will contain the first residential rain water catchment system used for gray water and landscape irrigation in the City of San Francisco. This project will be Green Point rated and should achieve one of the highest ratings in the state for a single-family residence by Build It Green. In conjunction, we have become certified as Green Building Professionals to enhance our knowledge of green building techniques.

With more exciting news on the Green front, our 2007 Sunset Magazine Idea Home was selected by the San Francisco's Mayor's Office and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as one of "San Francisco's Greenest." In celebration of the AIA's 2009 National Convention and Design Exhibition, held in San Francisco from April 30 - May 2, the AIA and Mayor Newsom's office partnered to select the ten "greenest" buildings in San Francisco. Other buildings honored included the Academy of Sciences by Renzo Piano, and the Plaza Apartments by SOM. The Idea House was featured on a "Walk the Walk" tour highlighting sustainable design. We are very proud to be recognized by the AIA.

We are pleased to announce that due to our extensive experience in designing optometric offices, we are joining forces with Blake Kuwahara, a noted eyewear designer to form a design consultancy called Focus Group West, which will offer comprehensive design services to the optometric trade. See the newly launched website at: http://www.focusgroupwest.com.
