FRIEDMAN - Stanford
The existing home on the Stanford Campus was problematic in
many ways. Though the home was technically large enough for
this family of four, it was also dark, inefficient, and disconnected
from the temperate climate of Palo Alto, California. The solution
was clear: maintain the original footprint of the home while
opening the floor plan to incorporate the outdoors and passive
technologies. What came next was a radically remodeled home
filled with light and cooled by the local breezes.
